Effective since Nov. 5, and until further notice, the current one-way section of Third Street in front of Gallagher Hall is closed to all vehicular traffic. All vehicles needing to access the River Parking lot must utilize the railroad crossing at Hamer Hall. Additional directional signage will be installed in the Borough directing all traffic to utilize Green Street to Second Street, Second to Beazell Street and then continue around campus on the recently completed section of the Loop Road to the Hamer railroad crossing. The 3rd Street railroad crossing will remain open so that vehicles needing access to Morgan Hall or the handicapped parking spaces at Morgan Hall can be accessed via the River Parking lot. The sidewalk immediately adjacent to Gallagher Hall will remain open to pedestrian traffic to and from Morgan and Gallagher halls.
This closing is necessary so that the Convocation Center contractors can safely begin foundation installation and utility relocations in that area.
If there are any questions please feel free to contact the Physical Plant Dept. at 724-938-4410.
We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you in advance for your cooperation.
