Office of Social Equity
Mission Statement
The mission of the California University Office of Social Equity follows:
To provide the California University community with the leadership and motivation necessary to advance the University's commitment to fostering a learning environment in which the rights of all are respected.
To encourage the entire university to become personally involved in enriching the campus and building its intellectual strength through the support of enhanced diversity and pluralism.
To reaffirm the university's commitment to equity and social justice through the promotion of understanding, tolerance and respect for others.
To ensure that the practices and policies of the University are equitable and afford all members of the community with an opportunity for full participation regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other factors in accordance with local, state and federal laws.
