Summer College

California University of Pennsylvania Summer College offers more than 200 credit classes, every summer, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The courses are offered in a wide variety of times and sessions including both day and evening offerings, special sessions, five week sessions, and 10 week sessions. You can request a printed version of the summer schedule by calling the Office of Lifelong Learning or click here to view the web version.

Classes are open to current students and to visiting students from other institutions, who are interested in taking classes on our campus for the summer term. If you are a current student, register online by clicking here, in person at the Office of Lifelong Learning (Room 202, Eberly Science and Technology Center), or, by faxing your request to 724-938-5963. If you are not a current student you will need to make application before you can register.

We are constantly striving to continuously improve our services and to provide a schedule that meets the needs of students. Please take a moment of your time to give us some feedback on the current schedule and let us know what you would like to see in the future. We value your input!

Taking the courses at California University over the summer was not only convenient for me, since I lived close by, but also exceedingly helpful academically. The professors were eager to help us if we had questions and were willing to take the time so that the material was fully understood. The University's setup also made it easy for me to locate classrooms and find my way around campus. January 4, 2010: Summer 2009 Registration Begins
May 17, 2010: Summer Special Session Classes Begin
June 7, 2010: 1st 5 & 10-Week Summer Session Classes Begin
July 10, 2010: 1st 5-Week Session Classes End
July 12, 2010: 2nd 5-Week Classes Begin
August 14, 2010: 2nd 5-Week and 10-Week Summer Session Classes End

Important Notes:

The first day of each session is the drop/add period
Students cannot withdraw from courses after 67% of the course has lapsed
