English Department CELEBRATION OF STUDENT WRITING

CELEBRATION OF STUDENT WRITING
DECEMBER 2, 2008
APRIL 28, 2009
DECEMBER 10, 2009

Composition II students presented their research projects during Cal's first Celebration of Student Writing. Held in the Natali Student Center, the Celebration drew hundreds of presenters and interested faculty, students and staff.
These projects included videos, PowerPoint presentations, scrapbooks, real objects, posters, tri-folds, web pages and portfolios and changed the campus's discussion about first year writing and writing and literacy on campus.
The Celebration advocates the interests of students in our writing program and demonstrates that writing is more than developing a set of easily definiable skills. It affects the ways that students think about writing.
