Welcome to California University of Pennsylvania’s  GO Armed Forces site. This page was designed to provide information to members of our Armed Forces and their families who are interested in pursuing their degree online.

Cal U’s Global Online is a worldwide learning community providing convenient and state-of-the-art classroom delivery of high-quality and in-demand academic programs. There is no classroom attendance requirement…Global Online’s 100% online format allows students to access classes from anywhere, as long as there is Internet access. Asynchronous classes allow students to complete coursework at any time of the day or night, from anywhere in the world. Global Online courses are also excellent for spouses or other family members who are interested in earning their degree while living anywhere in the world. Military Advanced Education's 2008 Military Friendly Colleges and Universities Honoree

Effective Spring 2007, current Active Duty U.S. Military enrolled in Cal U Global Online programs are eligible for in-state rates. Students must self-identify prior to the start of his/her first term.

Effective  for Spring 2008,spouses and dependants of current Active Duty U.S. Military enrolled in Cal U Global Online programs are eligible for in-state rates. Students must self-identify prior to the start of his/her first term.

New active duty military applicants will need to present the following documentation for the initial verification of current Active Duty Military status:

• A copy (front and back) of your Military ID card and

• A letter from your Education or Personnel Office or a copy of your Deployment Orders that confirms and verifies the dates of Active Duty service/status

Spouses and Dependants of active duty military must present the following documentation for initial verification of affiliation with an active duty soldier:

• A copy (front and back) of your dependant Military ID card or your spouse's military ID or orders

Please submit the above documents to the Office of Web Based Programs/Global Online to calugo@calu.edu, attn: Debbie or durigon@calu.edu; the fax number for Global Online is 724-938-4270.

If you are a current Global Online student utilizing the Tuition Assistance (TA) program, your TA form will be sufficient to verify Active Duty for each term enrolled after the initial verification of Active Duty with the above documents.

Please Note: Military students who are utilizing the Tuition Assistance (TA) program must submit their TA forms prior to the start of each term the student plans to attend. The TA form must be submitted prior to the start of each term to be eligible for in-state rates for that term. In addition, the billing amount that TA will not be covering is the student’s financial responsibility and must be paid in full by the due date of each term.
Global Online students should fax the Tuition Assistance (TA) form to 724-938-4270, Attn: Debbie or email as a PDF attachment to durigon@calu.edu. In addition, the documents for Active Duty verification may be faxed and/or emailed to Debbie Durigon as well.
Please note:  The difference/amount that your Army TA will not cover is your financially responsibility and is due upfront by the due date and/or start of each semester.  It is the soldier's/student's responsibility to know who much the Army will be submitting in TA per semester.  You can view your status of TA via your GoArmyEd Portal account.  In addition, you can view your CALU billing statement via Student Services as well as make the payment at https://sisweb.calu.edu
