Internships (Mentorships) Instructions for Summer 2007 On-Line Sports Management Students Only

  1. Analyze yourself.  Identify your skills, define your career goals, and determine what you want to gain from an internship.

  2. Contact your faculty advisor.  He or she will discuss your eligibility (prerequisites completed, department grade point average requirement, etc.), possible placements, number of credits, and other issues related to your internship.

  3. Create an on-line profile in InternLink.  Go to www.cup.edu/internship.  Click on Student Information, then On-line orientation.

  4. Secure your internship.

  5. Access your application by logging on to your InternLink profile (go to tool bar, click My Account, then My Profile) and click Print Forms.  Select the first option, *Internship Application.  Complete this form on-line and upload by going to My Account, then My Documents, and uploading the application into the Internship Application category.  Be sure to put in as much detail as possible about your internship.

  6. Print the application and send to your faculty advisor.

  7. Your faculty advisor will submit your name to the Office of Lifelong Learning.  You will then be able to register on-line.
