Helpful Hints for Transfer Students

FAFSA RECORD

If you did not originally include California University of PA as one of your school choices on the FAFSA you must:

1. Add CAL U  to your record by clicking "Add or Delete a School Code"  online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. You will need your PIN #, or ...
2. Call the Federal Processor at 1-800-433-3243 and add CALU to your record. You will need your DRN # (found on the Student Aid Report).

CAL U's Title IV School Code is 003316.

PHEAA STATE GRANT

If you are eligible for a PHEAA State Grant, you will need to inform PHEAA that you will be attending California University of PA for the upcoming semester by:

1. Visit the PHEAA website at www.pheaa.org and follow the links for Account Access,
2. Complete a PHEAA Grant School Change Form online, or...
3. Contact PHEAA by phone to make the change to your school at 1-800-692-7392.

STAFFORD LOAN

If your previous school has processed a Stafford Loan for the upcoming semester, you will need to cancel this loan before CALU will be able to process a Stafford Loan for you.

1. You can cancel the loan via phone at AES/PHEAA Loan Guarantee Services by calling 1-800-692-7392.

Also, you must complete the Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling at www.aessuccess.org and follow the links for On-line Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling.
