Program Learning Objectives
The eight primary Sport Management Studies learning outcomes/objectives are listed below.
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Incorporate data generated from research studies when developing managerial strategies to enhance the overall effectiveness of sport organizations.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to solve controversies and issues related to the sport cultures.
Integrate current marketing theory when creating a strategic marketing plan for use in the practical setting. - Assess the effectiveness of strategies used by sport organizations to maintain, or improve stakeholder relations.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the issues and principles of law as it applies to the sport industry.
- Create a strategic financial plan for generating additional resources for sport organizations, and for the successful management of resources once procured.
- Formulate strategies to deal with moral and ethical problems related to sport in its intrinsic and extrinsic dimensions.
- Apply management-related skills and behaviors to maximize the efficiency of sport organizations.
