Admission Criteria
The MS in Sport Management Studies online degree program is intended for post-baccalaureate students desiring to further develop their critical and analytical skills for application in the core content areas of sport management. To be considered for admission into the program, the student must have completed and/or met the following general requirements:
A bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in sport management/administration. Applicants with sport industry related experience and non-sport related degrees (marketing, finance, business, coaching/physical education, public relations, et cetera) may be considered for admission.
A minimum 3.0 undergraduate grade point average, based on a 4.0; students who do not meet the minimum grade point average requirement but have a minimum grade point average above a 2.50 may request consideration by submitting, via email, a resume indicating their experience in the sport industry, and a list of at least two professional references.
Acceptance to the School of Graduate Studies and Research.
A telephone or e-mail interview with the Program Director may be required to determine the students potential success in the web-based learning environment.
