International Student Admission for Online Students

 
California University welcomes application form students from countries other than the United States. 
If you are an international student staying in your country of origin and taking an online program please do the following for admission consideration:
 
1.       Email the Undergraduate or Graduate Office to obtain a log-in ID. The undergraduate email is inquiry@calu.edu or the graduate email is gradschool@calu.edu.  
2.       Fill out the Online Application for Admission.
3.       Pay the application fee
4.       Evidence of Proficiency in oral and written English is requested if the applicant’s native language is other than English. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is suggested. This Test is given four times a year in testing centers all over the world. Further information about this test may be obtained from the nearest United States Embassy Consulate of information service , by writing to the Education Testing Service, Princeton, NJ U.S.A 08540 or at www.toefl.org . An official copy of the TOEFL score must be sent from the Testing Center. Xerox copies are not acceptable. A report from an oversees English teacher or professor is NOT acceptable. A minimum score of 550 on the paper-based test, 213 on the computer-based test, or 80 on the internet based test (iBT TOEFL) is required for most programs. An official copy of the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum score of 6.0 may be substituted for the TOEFL score; IELTS is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations. 5.       International Students must arrange to have photocopies of their post-secondary diploma(s) submitted to one of the following organizations for a document-by-document evaluation

Students should contact the organization to request an application(or visit the website to download an application), complete the application listing California University of PA Graduate School or Undergraduate School as the recipient, and return it to the organization with the require fees and credentials. This process can take up to four weeks, after all the documents are received. Check with the service(s) for their specific fee structure.
               
Canadian Applicants: Students holding an undergraduate degree from a Canadian college or university that is seeking admission into a graduate program need only to submit their official transcript to the Graduate School. If they are similar to the materials from the United States model, they will be evaluated locally. If not, student will be required to comply with the above international student policy.
 
·         After review of official credentials, departments may subsequently request that the student obtain a course-by-course evaluation.
