Professional Golf Management PGM Mission Statement

PGM Mission Statement

The Professional Golf Management Program at California University of Pennsylvania is dedicated to educating the future leaders of the golf industry. This reality will be achieved through the mission of providing a well-rounded approach to the academic framework associated with a professional golf management education. Specifically, graduates will have obtained the hands-on and conceptual skills associated with managing business operations in the golf industry. In addition, students will gain an understanding of the importance of practicing ethical standards of conduct throughout all aspects of their lives.

The well-rounded approach expands to teach students how to present a professional image, network, and attain equilibrium between their work and home lives. Our conceptual framework is based on the University’s three core values of Integrity, Civility, and Responsibility, and the program integrates leadership and collaborative autonomy into all areas of study.

The faculty within the Professional Golf Management program subscribes to educating students who thoroughly understand and successfully implement the analytical concepts taught within the PGA’s Professional Golf Management Program, thus preparing them to become the PGA Professionals of the 21st century.
