Julie Ramsey Emrhein, ATC

Julie Ramsey Emrhein, M.Ed., ATC was just recently hired as a full-time on-line instructor for California University. She was previously employed as a Certified Athletic Trainer/Instructor/Senior Women's Administrator by Dickinson College from 1986-2007. She received her master's degree from the University of Virginia in Sports Medicine in 1984. In 1983, she graduated summa cum laude from Lock Haven University. She was previously employed by the California University of PA from 1984-86 as an Instructor/Certified Athletic Trainer. In addition, she has served as an adjunct professor at the Harrisburg Area Community College teaching Anatomy and Physiology.

Julie is currently seeking her Ph.D in Health Sciences at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Julie's publishing experiences include a medical journal article regarding cervical spine injuries co-authored with Joseph Torg, MD. She has service on National Boards, State Boards, and College/University Committees and has spoken at National, State, and local conferences. From 2000-2007, her sports management skills were enhanced by serving as Senior Women's Administrator at Dickinson College and for the Centennial Conference. 

Julie has injury prevention and performance enhancement expertise as a Certified Athletic Trainer at Dickinson College, California University of Pennsylvania and with the Washington Redskins Professional Football Team. She has served as an academic advisor for student internships for over 20 years at Dickinson College. She is currently serving as the President of the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Society. 

Julie is married to Dave Emrhein and they reside in a log home in Lititz, Pennsylvania with their daughter Marleise. Her interests include all outdoor activities and traveling.
