Jodi Dusi, MPT

Jodi Dusi is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the CAPTE accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program at California University of Pennsylvania.  She is also an adjunct Assistant Professor in the physical therapy program at Duquesne University.  Additionally, she is an American Physical Therapy Association credentialed clinical instructor.

Professor Dusi received her bachelor's degree from Duquesne University in Health Sciences, and received her master's degree from Duquesne in Physical Therapy.  She is currently in the process of completing her PhD in Rehabilitation Science at Duquesne University.  At Duquesne, she was an undergraduate research assistant for the Department of Chemistry and contributed to scholarly works published in Biochemistry, Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, and Journal of the American Chemical Society.  Additionally, she served as a graduate research assistant for the Department of Physical Therapy where she assisted in a protocol for examining the effects of transcutaneous electrical stimulation of causalgic laboratory animals.  Her current research efforts include exploring the relationship between urinary incontinence and sexual function in women with multiple sclerosis in collaboration with Dr. Borello-France at Duquesne.

Jodi has been a licensed Physical Therapist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 2000.  Prior to coming to California, she has worked as a physical therapist in a variety of settings including acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and outpatient orthopedic.  Jodi has a special interest in Women’s Health Physical Therapy and is the Head of Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy Associates Women’s Health Division. Since 1998, Jodi has been an active APTA member.  She is a member of the educational and women’s health sections of the association.

Jodi currently resides in Coal Center, Pennsylvania.  She enjoys running, playing tennis, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
