Associate Professor Marc Federico

Marc S. Federico, PT, DPT 

Marc Federico is an Associate Professor as a member of the on-line Exercise Science and Health Promotion graduate program.  Previously, Marc was the Director of the CAPTE accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.  He has been a faculty member at California University of Pennsylvania member since the fall semester of 1999.  Marc carried out the initial accreditation process for the Physical Therapist Assistant Program shortly after he started with the university.  The program was granted accreditation in May, 2001.

Professor Federico received his bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Exercise Science, master's degree in Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University, and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Slippery Rock University was completed in 2005.

Marc has been a licensed Physical Therapist both in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the state of Ohio since 1994.  Prior to coming to California, he has worked as a physical therapist in a variety of settings in both Pennsylvania and Ohio.  Marc has a special interest in spinal, knee and shoulder rehabilitation.  Furthermore, he has a strong interest in interventions and rehabilitation of impairments and functional limitations due to faulty postural alignment.  Since 1994, Marc has been an active APTA member.  He is a member of the orthopedic section of the association.  Currently, Marc provides physical therapy services in his small, private practice in Youngwood, PA.

Marc resides in Greensburg, Pennsylvania with his wife Dana and two daughters, Gabrielle and Mira. He enjoys spending time with his family, martial arts, and reading.
