Associate Professor Carol M. Biddington
Dr. Carol Biddington is an Associate Professor at California University of Pennsylvania. She holds an EdD in Curriculum and Instruction; a MS in Physical Education; and a BS in Physical Education, Health, and Safety from West Virginia University. Further, she holds a permanent teaching certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in Health, Physical Education, and Safety.
Dr. Biddington teaches Ethics in Sport, Introduction to Fitness, Current Health Issues and Sports Medicine Research in the Wellness and Fitness Program; Sports Nutrition and Leadership and Professional Development in the Graduate Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention Program at California University of PA. She has been a graduate faculty advisor to thesis students for the past 16 years.
Dr. Biddington is the Department Cal U in the high school (CUHS) Coordinator for Health Education. She also serves as a textbook reviewer for Wadsworth Publishing, Pearson Education, and Atomic Dog Publishing, Inc. Dr. Biddington serves as an Instructor for the American Heart Association.
Dr. Biddington's research interests include health promotion, fitness, and emergency care. She has published research and presented papers at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) annual meetings. She has also presented research posters at the National Athletic Training Association (NATA) and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) annual meetings.
Dr. Biddington's memberships include: the Kappa Omicron Nu National Honor Society, the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) and the Pennsylvania State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (PSAHPERD).
Dr. Biddington is married and has two grown sons. She enjoys running, golfing, and biking.
