Speech and Hearing Screenings
On-Campus
All College of Education students must have a speech and hearing screening performed by the Communication Disorders Department prior to beginning student teaching. There is no charge for this service. Screenings are performed by Speech-Language Pathology graduate student clinicians under faculty supervision. Screenings take approximately 15 minutes and are done on a walk-in basis several days per week. Times for screenings vary by term.
Please call the Department at 724-938-4175 for a current schedule.
The Department also provides hearing screenings during University-sponsored Health fairs.
Off-campus
The Department of Communication Disorders provides speech and hearing screenings at a number of schools and community centers throughout the year. These screenings are performed by Speech-Language Pathology graduate student clinicians under direct supervision of faculty members or licensed/certified Speech-Language Pathologists employed by the facility.
