The Student Support Services (SSS) program is designed to improve the retention and graduation rate of low income, first generation and college students with disabilities.
Students receive the support they need to make a successful transition to college life. SSS provides counseling, tutoring, cultural activities and instruction to assist them in overcoming difficulties they may experience as a result of class, social and cultural barriers to higher education.
The SSS program is funded under Title IV of the Higher Education Act 1965 and the Federal TRIO Program. Students are now being served at over 700 colleges and universities nationwide.
