Awards and Scholarships

TED Faculty Award
Each year, the Technology Education faculty selects one student for this award, which emphasizes academic excellence.  The award includes a small monetary gift and a plaque, which are presented during the annual department banquet.  Every graduating Technology Education major is eligible and considered for this award.

Donald Maley Technology Education Scholarship
This annual scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman majoring in Technology Education.  Selection is based on scholastic achievement and financial need.  Deadline for submission is September 30th.  Download an application

TSA Scholarship
This scholarship is given to one incoming freshman majoring in Technology Education each fall semester.  Selection is based on TSA activities, scholastic achievement, and financial need.  Deadline for submission is September 30th.

TEAP William J. Wilkinson Scholarship
This annual scholarship is given to one incoming freshman majoring in Technology Education each fall semester by the Technology Education Association of Pennsylvania.  Selection is based on scholastic achievement and financial need.  Deadline for submission is September 1. Download an application.

Dr. John H. Lucy and Dorothy Valla Lucy Scholarship
The scholarship is be awarded to one Technology Education Student Teacher each semester. Qualified students must have distinguished themselves with a minimum 3.0 grade-point average and preference will be given to any such student who has demonstrated a need for financial assistance to continue their dream of a college education.  The annual recipient is chosen by a committee from Cal U's Applied Engineering and Technology Department.   
Lucy Scholarship Fund

John C. McCrory Memorial Technology Education Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to one junior majoring in Technology Education each year.   Qualified students must have distinguished themselves with a GPA of 3.0 grade-point average.  Preference will be given to a student who has a demonstrated financial need to continue their education at California University.  Interested students should submit a 500-word essay by May 1 to the Financial Aid Office describing their volunteerism in Community Service Activities with emphasis on being a Volunteer Fire Fighter

TED Faculty Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded annually to one sophomore Technology Education majors at California University.  Each scholarship recipient will be able to renew their scholarship for a maximum of three years, provided that they maintain the minimum requirements; are enrolled in the Technology Education major, maintain a 3.0 grade-point average, and meet all of the criteria for Admission to Teacher Education and a Recommendation for Student Teaching.  Preference will be given to any student who has demonstrated a need for financial assistance to continue their education at the University.  All eligible students are considered by Financial Aid.
