Army ROTC How to Join: College Seniors

Seniors

Senior students with less than two years of college remaining have multiple options:

1. Stretch your academic work out to make you eligible to be a full time student for at least two years (4 semesters) then:

2. Attend the Leaders Training course over the summer, prior to second to last year of college. The course is held at FT Knox, KY, requires no obligation to the Army, and you receive pay while attending the course.

3. Attend the junior level ROTC classes. At the end of your second to last year of school, attend the Leaders Training Course. At the end of your Senior year you would attend the Leadership Development Assessment Course (LDAC) and be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant at the completion of LDAC that summer.

4. Request exception through the commander to allow basic training (any service) to substitute for the freshman and sophomore courses.

5. Attend a two-year graduate program following graduation, and take Junior and Senior level ROTC classes while a graduate student.

It is possible to join ROTC at any point during the academic year, please contact us for more information.
