Department of Nursing

A photo of Linda Miller, a registered Nurse, who obtained her degree at California University of Pennsylvania."The nursing program at CUP allows working RN's to complete the BSN at their own pace. The nursing faculty are knowledgeable and supportive educators, mentors, and facilitators, who encourage networking, collaboration, and life-long learning. I am fortunate that I completed my BSN at CUP. I was well prepared for graduate school."

- Linda Miller, MSN, CRNP

California University offers an upper-division program, which leads to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) for graduates of associate degree and diploma programs. The program is designed exclusively for registered nurses, and builds on the knowledge and competencies gained in entry level nursing programs. The nursing curriculum combines general education courses with nine required upper-division nursing courses. The curriculum is planned to build upon basic nursing skills and to develop practitioners with a strong sense of leadership and professionalism, as well as competencies in research utilization, communication, and critical thinking.
