ABET, Inc., the recognized accreditor for college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and technology, is a federation of 28 professional and technical societies representing these fields. Among the most respected organizations in the U.S., ABET has provided leadership and quality assurance in higher education for over 70 years.
ABET accredits some 2,700 programs at more than 550 colleges and universities nationwide. Over 1,500 dedicated volunteers participate annually in ABET activities.
ABET is recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accredidation.

Computer Information Systems (CIS) Accredidation: Chaired by Dr. Gina Boff, the program is pursuing ABET CAC accreditation in Information Systems during Fall 2009.
The CIS program combines knowledge of leading-edge information technologies and system methodologies with the understanding of the ever-changing needs of today's dynamic business environment. It attracts students who are interested in working with technology to find solutions to business problems and/or to critically analyze existing business processes and their systems to redesign them into streamlined, optimized processes.
The following link, Program Outcomes - Objectives, denotes the major outcomes, objectives and assessment methods used by the CIS faculty in their continuing improvement to the CIS program curriculum as we pursue optimum job placement opportunities for our students.
Computer Science Accredidation: Chaired by Dr. Ahmed Tarek, the program succesfully attained ABET CAC accreditation in Computer Science in 2006.
