Chemistry and Physics Internships and Summer Research

Internships and Summer Research Opportunities

The faculty of the Chemistry and Physics Department strongly encourages and supports students in efforts to seek internships during their career at California University . Students typically seek internships during the summer between their sophomore and junior or junior and senior years.

Here is a link to the American Chemical Society's directory of Experiential Programs in Chemistry (EPiC).

Each summer many institutions around the country offer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) programs.  Many of these programs provide valuable opportunities to explore research and get a taste of what graduate school might be like.  In addition many programs offer housing and a summer stipend (salary).  Here is a link to the National Science Foundation (NSF) Directory of Summer REU programs.
